Not many of us realized yet that combining picnic photo session with your visit to lavender fields can results in a great time spending and memories capturing.
July in Montreal
July is truly a month when we start feeling that summer is finally in Montreal. The humidity level is going through the roof, the sun is shining and making us spend evenings outside. Most of us go to the parc, on a terrasse, or simply checking the local ice cream stores.
This July I suggest that you a pay a visit to the lavender fields. You’ve probably as it’s a very touristic destination in the summer. There are two main fields around Montreal: Maison Lavande and Blue Lavande and both gets lots of visitors during the blooming season.
I suggest that you make your visit to lavender fields different this year. And the way to go about it is to have a picnic photo session right in the fields!
I am about to give you 5 good reasons for that:
- Picnic is a great way to spend time alone or with your family/friends outside. We all know that summer in Montreal lasts 2 and if we are really lucky 3 months. So do use every opportunity to enjoy the fresh summer breeze.
- Both lavender fields are located outside of the city of Montreal. So planning your trip to once of these fields you would be visiting the coutryside. Coutryside has a lot to offer in Canada starting from beautiful views, visiting mini farms, meeting locals and enjoying the rural food and drinks sold at the local food kiosks.
- Picnic is a great way to have your a supper in a beautiful location. I am sure that you do not eat often while sitting amongst the lavender flowers (that also smell soo good). So grab your picnic blanket, a bottle of white wine and your dinner.
- You’ve probably had your mini photo session in lavender fields before, but I am sure not the picnic photo session. Since your food and wine is here why not to have your photographer taking candid shots with of you and your family/friends? Making you look relaxed and availing the “looking straight into the camera and smiling” shots.
- Picnic photo session is a way to celebrate lots of things : summer time, good weather, food, quality time with your loved ones or simply quality time alone. It’s the way to capture these precious moments and keep them not only in your heart but also on your walls and in your photo albums.
Keep in mind that lavender is blooming for about 3-4 weeks in July, so you will have quite a few evenings to book your lavender field visit. I highly recommend visiting it during the week day, as it gets very crowded on the weekends.
